A proposal for a telecommunication hub on a topographically complex site constituted part of a bid to identify a series of strategic development sites within the Jebel Ali area in Dubai. Pragma was engaged to assess and set master planning criteria in collaboration with consultants specialized in data and control centers within the project area.
Developed to host a variety of office and technology parks designed around campus like quads, this 75 Ha masterplan is meant to host the latest smart technology and infrastructure innovations. The project hosts a variety of data centers, global network operation buildings, administrative and educational facilities.
The design involved identifying optimum development zones and program adjacencies based on site attributes and topographic conditions. Certain areas of the site not suitable for development due to unfavorable soil conditions were proposed as future parks and green areas.
